We always want you to call us with questions about your roofing needs. But we realize that the circumstances are sometimes unique when you are trying to sell your home.
When choosing a new roof for a home they are selling, homeowners don’t always care about dotting every ‘i’ and crossing every ‘t’. There is a set goal and budget, and they want to keep as much equity in their pockets as they can. Sometimes we don’t fit into that budget.
I’m not going to drag you through a one-hour inspection and a one-hour presentation, when you know you have a smaller budget in mind. We don’t want to waste your time. We can give you guidance on what to do, but our customers typically don’t use us when they are trying to put their house on the market, because they don’t want to spend money on something they aren’t going to get to enjoy.
Another reason we might not be the best fit is that we don’t rush through our roofing projects. During the sell of a home, time is of the essence. Real estate agents and homeowners want to close the deal fast. We might frustrate, because we tend to move at a slower, more methodical pace. If we’re giving a roof a lifetime warranty, we are going to make sure it’s put on right the first time.
Despite all of the above, I encourage you to call us for your roofing needs, regardless of your circumstances. We are happy to meet with you to see if we are the right company for the job, but we always want to be upfront with what we can provide.
