Roofing Before Landscaping

Let Us Help

Every summer we get calls from homeowners asking how and when they should schedule their home maintenance projects around each other; “should I paint or get my roof cleaned first?”, “my landscapers are scheduled to come next week, can we reschedule your services?”, “do you wash windows?”, etc.

It’s always a good idea to hold off on your landscaping until after you’ve finished your roofing projects.

Roofing projects are dirty and disruptive. The process isn’t pretty. And we don’t want any of that debris and moss on a roof landing on your brand-new landscaping, especially new grass. When you first plant grass, it’s just baby sprigs. You don’t want your roofer trouncing around on it. 100_0364

That being said, our crews are extremely respectful, and you can expect the utmost care from them when they come out to service your roof. We put all of your expectations and concerns in our notes and make sure the crew members know how to tarp over your pond/deck/flower bed, and which paths they can and cannot use. Additionally, all of the products we use are eco-friendly and completely safe for plants, animals, and your family. (Read more about our treatment products here.)

We understand that sometimes you can’t wait and you have to do your landscaping first. At Roof Life of Oregon, we go above and beyond to protect your home during all of our roofing projects.  We don’t want to destroy any of your new grass or rose bushes. But it’s very difficult to avoid them completely.

You will save yourself a ton of money and headache doing home projects from the top to the bottom.
